Illustration Friday

Here is my submission for Illustration Friday. Possibly not my best work, but I'm trying it out nonetheless =)

Close-up of girl. I modeled her after my own girls and what they wish they could come home with after going on a vacation.

As an artist I am always seeking to learn a new skill, a new craft, or profect the old ones. I love the learning process as much as I love the finished product, and I like that each project teaches me patience as well. I wouldn't want to wave a wand and have them magically be completed. With each there is discovery, creativity, and I find myself in another world. Much like my writing. I feel so blessed that I can do this. That my hands work. My eyes work. And that I have the stamina after three babies to keep truckin' along. =)
